SURVEY ON ACCESSIBILITY
The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District is producing an ADA Transition Plan, and we need your input!
The ADA Transition Plan is a comprehensive plan for improving access for individuals with disabilities to district and school facilities, programs, services, activities, and events. It’s part of SMMUSD’s continued efforts to welcome and serve all members of the community. By updating and implementing the Transition Plan, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), district and school facilities and programs will become more comfortable, welcoming, and accessible for all.
Community Input and Suggestions: SMMUSD is seeking input from individuals with disabilities, patrons, caregivers, organizations, and agencies that support individuals with disabilities, as well as from interested individuals with experience in accessibility needs and best practices. This community involvement will help the district with its self-evaluation process, and better enable us to address and prioritize current and future accessibility needs.
The district and its consultants have prepared a survey to help evaluate community perspectives on accessibility to district programs, services, and facilities. This survey is also available in hard copy in English and Spanish at the District Office, 1651 16th St. Santa Monica, CA 90404 and school sites.
